Picking the Perfect Dance Floor
Choosing the right dance floor for your event is easier said than done. A well-thought-out dance floor can set your event up for success. Many factors like the size, luminosity, placement of the floor, size, and so on have to be considered while planning a fun night. Here's a list of the questions you need to ask yourself while picking a dance floor.

Think about the other elements in your event while choosing your dance floor. A white floor sets a spunky and fun tone while a wood floor is for elegant occasions.
How big would you like your dance floor to be?
Choosing a floor depends on how many guests you'd like to host and your budget as well as the demography of your guests. If most of your guests are elderly, it's safe to assume that many of them will not be dancing. Experts say that there shouldn't be more than 50% of your party dancing at once and that a couple requires nine square feet to be able to dance. For a small to a medium-sized event, a 12'x12' (144 square feet) dance floor should accommodate the dancers.
Where would you like to set your dance floor?
A dance floor can stand out or blend in. Setting the dance floor in the centre or in a corner can make two otherwise identical events feel completely different. The location of your dance floor depends on the tone you'd like to set.
What is your budget?
If the material or size of the floor is imposing heavily on your budget, you may need to get creative with your placement of flowers, chairs, and tables or choose a cheaper floor.
Lights or no lights?
Well-thought-out lights set the mood for the night and should be chosen based on the tone you'd like to set. Having no lights can also work to your advantage if you're clever about it.
